D. Scott Withers*

D. Scott is thrilled to make his Arkansas Rep debut with Hairspray! Scott played the role earlier this season at Phoenix Theatre where he has also appeared in Company, Lucky Star, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Forum and Into the Woods (ariZoni Award) and directed The Women. Scott just started his 22nd season with Childsplay in Tempe, AZ. Recent Childsplay credits: A Year with Frog and Toad, The BFG, Still Life With Iris (ariZoni Award), The Yellow Boat, Honus and Me and A Tale of Two Cities. Other acting credits: Footloose, Gypsy and Bye Bye Birdie for AZ Broadway Theatre, A Christmas Carol for Actors Theatre of Phoenix, Lost and Foundling for Geva Center, The Jungle Book for Fulton Opera House and A Year With Frog and Toad for Seattle Children’s Theatre. Other directing credits include: Androcles and the Lion, Alexander and the Terrible...Day, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Life, The Selfish Giant and Jeffrey (ariZoni Award). Scott holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University and is originally from Idaho.
