Joseph Graves
Joseph Graves (Frederick Treves, Belgium Policeman) happily returns to the Rep for his tenth production in the last nine years. His previous Rep roles include: Iago on Othello; Prospero in The Temptest; Willie Stark in All Of The Kings Men; Lennie in Of Mice and Men; Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes, The Final Adventure; Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady; Victor Fleming in Moonlight And Magnolias and Man in Towns Facing Railroads.

Joseph is currently the Artistic Director of Peking University’s Institute of World Theatre and Film which produces theatre in China, most often mixing Eastern and Western Theatre Artists; promotes and sponsors artistic/cultural exchange between the professional theatre communities of China and those of other countries; as well as facilitates university theatre education across China’s Mainland.

Over the last thirty years, Joseph has directed over 70 stage productions, including classical, contemporary, musical theatre and opera, in America, Great Britain and China. Appearing in venues from London’s WestEnd to regional theatres and Shakespeare Festivals all across America, Joseph has acted in over one hundred fifty stage productions, as well as having been seen in dozens of television shows. Joseph has also written such films as: SWEETWATER for VIACOM/VH1 and HANNAH AND JACK for Academy Award Winner, Sir John Mills.

His recent play, Revel’s World Of Shakepeare, is available on Amazon.com, published in English and Chinese by Bookman Books of Taiwan.
