Hailing from Little Rock, Mark Binns is a sought-after musical director, composer, arranger, conductor, pianist, vocalist, and teacher. Mark was most recently seen touring North America as the Associate Musical Director and Keyboardist for the National Tour of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. He is incredibly grateful to be back with Education at the Rep for his seventh consecutive summer. Across the street at Arkansas Repertory Theatre, he has been involved in over 30 productions, serving as Musical Director for SISTER ACT, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, LES MISÉRABLES, MEMPHIS, THE LITTLE MERMAID, WHITE CHRISTMAS, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, and many other shows. Elsewhere, he has directed/performed at Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre (OLIVER!, PIPPIN, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, WEST SIDE STORY, THE MUSIC MAN), Lincoln Center (NY), Utah Shakespeare Festival, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, The Studio Theatre, Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, Argenta Community Theatre, Young Actors' Guild of Fort Smith, Hendrix College, and University of Central Arkansas. Other favorite credits include HAIRSPRAY, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, THE WIZ, MARY POPPINS, SWEENEY TODD, and NEXT TO NORMAL. As a composer, he has written/arranged hundreds of pieces of music that have been heard at Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, University of Central Arkansas, and other places.
