Robert Hupp Resigns as Producing Artistic Director
Arkansas Repertory Theatre announced today the resignation of producing artistic director Robert Hupp. Hupp is currently in his seventeenth season as the leader of Arkansas’ largest non-profit theatre company. Hupp’s resignation is effective with the conclusion of his current contract which expires at the end of June 2016. At that time, Hupp will assume his new position as artistic director of Syracuse Stage in Syracuse, New York.
Rep Announces Local Auditions for Windfall- CLOSED
Arkansas Repertory Theatre (LORT D) will have local auditions for its upcoming world premiere production of Scooter Pietsch’s new play, Windfall, directed by Jason Alexander, on Wednesday, Jan. 6, by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please email Company Manager/Casting Associate Peter Mensky at firstname.lastname@example.org and put “Windfall Local Request” as the subject line. Please note that limited audition times are available and Director Jason Alexander will not be in attendance at the first round of auditions. Auditions are CLOSED. No more submissions will be accepted.
Pat Matthews, Judy Tenenbaum Unveil Special Art
Arkansas Repertory Theatre is proud to announce the creation of a painting to commemorate its 40th Anniversary Season. The painting, created by notable Arkansas artist Pat Matthews, was unveiled at a special presentation on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Prints are now available for purchase throughout the run of Disney's The Little Mermaid, showing Dec. 4-Jan. 3.
The Rep Launches Saints and Sinners Raffle
Arkansas Repertory Theatre is thrilled to announce its inaugural Saints and Sinners Raffle. While the annual gala may be months away, the fun begins now with this special raffle, which includes three amazing prizes. Winners will be announced during a live online drawing at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. The public can follow along on Facebook (/ArkansasRep) and Instagram (/ArkansasRep) as the winners are announced.
The Rep Visits NWA for State ArtLinks Conference
The Arkansas Arts Council presented ArtLinks 2015, a statewide arts conference Oct. 25-27 in Northwest Arkansas. Arkansas Repertory Theatre Communications Manager Lauren James made the trip to network with representatives from other arts organizations across the state and learn more about creating, advocating and educating in the arts.
The Rep, Other Arts Organizations Talk Education
Kennedy Center president Deborah Rutter and a panel of Arkansas educators and artistic directors of cultural institutions, including Arkansas Repertory Theatre's Bob Hupp, discussed national trends in teaching the arts and humanities at the State of the Arts: Innovation in Arts and Humanities Education panel discussion at the Clinton Presidential Center on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Macbeth Cast Visits High Schools Across State
As part of the National Endowment for the Arts' Shakespeare in American Communities grant, cast members from Arkansas Repertory Theatre's production of Macbeth were able to visit nine high schools and work with students in 24 classes in a period of one week.

Rep Partners with Stone's Throw for Macbeth Beer
In partnership with Stone's Throw Brewery, Arkansas Repertory Theatre is thrilled to announce the creation of a special Macbeth-inspired beer to be sold at Stones Throw throughout the run of the production, Sept. 11 – 27. Starting Monday, Aug. 17, the partnership will launch their Macbeth Beer Naming Contest, asking the public to submit unique names.
