At the request of Cliff Baker’s husband, Guy Couch, The Rep has established the Cliff Fannin Baker Artistic Director’s Fund. 

The season reveal party will serve a dual purpose as a reminder of the theatre’s ongoing capital campaign.

 

(Little Rock, Ark., Sept. 6, 2018) – Arkansas Repertory Theatre board chair Ruth Shepherd confirms that Arkansas Rep founder Cliff Fannin Baker died this morning.

Arkansas Repertory Theatre has announced its 2018-2019 slate of officers and named seven new members to the board of directors of the state’s largest, nonprofit professional theatre.

 

Two months since the Arkansas Repertory Theatre announced it would suspend productions due to significant cash flow issues, fiscal year end reports show significant progress being made in efforts to save the state’s largest nonprofit, professional theatre.

She's back!! Soara-Joye Ross, who you'll remember as leading lady Deloris Van Cartier in our production of Sister Act, is with us again to play Drea in our upcoming production of The Call. 

Soara-Joye has a personal connection with The Call because she is adopted. Watch below to hear her moving adoption and reunion story, including how she got her name. 

THE CALL centers around a couple, Annie and Peter, who is struggling with fertility and the adoption process. Chiara B. Motley, had the interesting task of capturing a character that hits very close to home. Chiara is adopted and says she can relate to Annie through the stories that her mom has shared with her.
