This production offers fans who remember Cline a unique chance to look back, while giving new fans insight into what she was like and how much her music meant to those who loved her.


The Second City
October 7 - October 18, 2009

Armed from Chicago with a battery of the most hilarious sketch comedy and improvisation on any continent, the Second City Touring Company is loading up the tour bus and coming to The Rep to mock the millennial generation and beyond. Belushi, Colbert, Carell, Murray, Radner, Myers, Fey, Meadows, Farley, Aykroyd…they all came through the Second City Touring Company, now in its 50th year and funnier than ever!


Follie Holidays

The Rep's Summer Musical Theatre Intensive once again culminates in a stellar performance on our MainStage. If you love the old Hollywood classic Holiday Inn, you won't want to miss The Rep's young artists in Follie Holidays. Celebrating their fifth successful season, the most talented young artists in the state will sing and dance their way through spring, summer, winter and fall.


Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Take a rainbow ride through biblical Egypt on the wings of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s uplifting music and the humor and poetry of lyricist Tim Rice. This colorful retelling of the biblical story of Joseph, his uncanny abilities and his designer coat sings out to young and old alike with a score which is wall to wall hits, including “Close Every Door” and “Any Dream Will Do.” One of the biggest family hits at The Rep in the last decade, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat makes its triumphant return for Christmas this year to delight Rep audiences with music, sound and spectacle!


Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof focuses on wife and husband, Maggie "The Cat" and Brick Pollitt, and their interaction with Brick's family over the course of one evening gathering at the family estate in Mississippi. Brimming with Tennessee Williams’ trademark emotional intensity and insightful wit, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is an American treasure, full of themes such as the emerging power of women and the mendacity of the powerful that are more pertinent today than ever before.

Smokey Joe's Café

Wrapping up The Rep’s 34th season is Smokey Joe’s Café: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller. Pop-rock writers Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller began their careers writing for Elvis Presley and the Drifters in the early 1950s, and continued well into the ‘60s as they wrote for Aretha Franklin, Peggy Lee, LaVern Baker, and Perry Como, just to name a few. Smokey Joe’s Café showcases the talents of this dynamic songwriting duo, including smash hits like "Stand By Me," "Hound Dog," "Jailhouse Rock," and "Love Potion #9." Don’t miss the most popular and longest-running musical revue in Broadway history this summer at The Rep!
