Ahmed Best joined The Rep’s faculty in Summer 2017. A guest artist from L.A., Ahmed led acting classes for high school students in the Conservatory program and led stage combat courses for middle school through adult students

Mark Binns

Music Director

Hailing from Little Rock, Mark Binns is a sought-after musical director, composer, arranger, conductor, pianist, vocalist, and teacher. Mark spent the last seven summers as a Music Director for Education at The Rep’s summer programs!

Patrick Clanton

Teaching Artist

Patrick Clanton most recently performed at The Rep as Eddie in Sister Act, sharing his knowledge with Rep students in a theatre dance workshop in spring of 2017.

Maggie Kate Coleman

Teaching Artist

Maggie-Kate Coleman is a New York-based playwright, lyricist, and bookwriter who shared her knowledge with Rep students while collaborating on the music for The Gift of the Magi. In her engaging song writing workshop, students explored song structure, rhyming patterns, storytelling tools, and ways to unleash your imagination.

Andrew Cooke

Teaching Artist

Andrew Cooke is a music director, composer, and Broadway conductor. His work with students at The Rep included vocal coaching, song interpretation, and musical direction.

Matthew Glover

Teaching Artist

Matthew Glover joined The Rep’s faculty in Summer 2017. A guest artist from NYC, he choreographed elementary and middle school musical theatre showcases.

Joi Hester*

Teaching Artist

Joi Hester*, an Arkansas native, dancer, and doctor has been seen on The Rep’s stage in many productions. She joined The Rep’s faculty with Avery Royal during the run of Mamma Mia!, leading students in Broadway dance workshops.

Marisa Kirby

Teaching Artist

Marisa Kirby is an AEA actor, choreographer and educator who has been involved at The Rep and in the education department for many seasons. Marisa lives between NYC and Little Rock and serves as a guest choreographer for programs at The Rep.

Rosemary Loar

Teaching Artist 

Broadway actress Rosemary Loar most recently performed at The Rep in the cast of A Christmas Story and shared her knowledge of voice and musical theatre in a song study workshop for middle and high school students.

Carine Montbertrand*

Teaching Artist

Carine Montbertrand* is a NYC-based actor who studied in Paris at the Conservatoire National Superieur d'Art Dramatique and later received her MFA in acting from the University of Delaware's Professional Theatre Training Program. Carine is an expert in Commedia dell’Arte, and shared her knowledge with Rep students in a unique mask workshop.

Pytron Parker

Guest Choreographer 

Pytron Parker is an actor, dancer, and choreographer, who joined The Rep’s faculty in the summer of 2018, leading students in dance classes and choreography ranging from musical theatre to hip hop.

Soara-Joye Ross

Teaching Artist 

Soara-Joye most recently starred as Deloris in The Rep’s production of Sister Act. While in Little Rock, she shared her personal and professional experiences through outreach education with students at Henderson Middle School.

Avery Royal*

Avery Royal*, a NYC-based actor joined The Rep’s faculty while performing in Mamma Mia! Along with cast member, Joi Hester, Avery led Broadway dance workshops for students of all ages.

Katherine Silverman

Teaching Artist

Katherine Silverman served as The Rep’s Education Manager and a Resident Teaching Artist for many seasons. Her specialties include Shakespeare, devised theatre, Viewpoints technique, and voice and speech. Next, Katherine pursues her MFA at Columbia College in Chicago.

Chambers Stevens

Chambers Stevens is an L.A. actor and audition coach who joined The Rep’s faculty as a guest instructor in fall of 2016, teaching T.V. and film audition technique classes to youth and adults.

2 Ring Circus

Teaching Artist 

Ben Franklin and Lani Corson from the theatrical circus company 2 Ring Circus led an engaging workshop for middle and high school students with activities including juggling, hula hooping, and aerial silks.
