

Storytelling is the foundation of theatre.
That’s why, in addition to our workshop series in public schools and year-round training at The Rep, we present The HEARD Project. This ongoing writing and performance outreach program elevates the voices of underserved teens in Central Arkansas. The goal of this project is to give teens a supportive environment, creative freedom, and a platform to share their lived experiences.
In early 2020, The Rep led workshops on autobiographical writing and performance to help young people learn the many ways to use their voice and be heard. While a previously scheduled Main Stage performance was canceled due to COVID-19, we instead hear and celebrate their work through the virtual performances below.

REP WORKSHOPS
Workshops with guest artists deepen understanding, broaden creative experiences, and help students build a national network. Using The Rep’s professional productions, visiting actors, and technicians as resources for learning, pop-up workshops in a variety of curricula are offered year-round for students of all ages.
