CELEBRATE THE MILESTONE.  SECURE THE FUTURE.

A CULTURAL CORNERSTONE FOR THE COMMUNITY

Since 1976, the Arkansas Repertory Theatre has been an anchor for Central Arkansas’s quality of life. Along with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, Ballet Arkansas, The Rep helps form a vital cultural ecosystem that helps attract and retain residents, talent, and employers in our region. Presenting more than 100 performances each year, The Rep draws thousands of visitors to Downtown Little Rock—audiences who also support local restaurants, shops, and businesses—making the theatre not only an artistic asset, but an economic driver for our community.

Recognized as a leader in the national theatre industry, The Rep brings Arkansas audiences the very best in live performance—connecting our community to the “state of the art.” Each season, we welcome professional artists from across the country—including Tony Award winners, Golden Globe winners, and Emmy nominees—to collaborate with local talent in creating vibrant new productions of plays and musicals carefully selected to inspire and engage. For many young people, The Rep is their first encounter with professional theatre—a moment that can spark a lifelong passion for the arts. Over the years, we have proudly launched the careers of numerous Arkansans who have gone on to earn national acclaim, demonstrating the profound and lasting impact of our work.

In an age of increasing isolation and screen-dominated distractions, The Rep offers something rare and essential—shared experiences that bring families, friends, and neighbors together to connect and create memories. Beyond our full-scale productions, The Rep’s robust community and education programs spark creativity, strengthen mental well-being, and build confidence. From introducing elementary students to the art of playwriting, to producing living history performances with high school students, to engaging veterans and individuals with disabilities in the creative process, The Rep’s work leaves a lasting imprint by positively impacting our current and future citizens.

THE TIME IS NOW TO GALVANIZE PHILANTHROPIC SUPPORT

As a supporter of The Rep, your gift ensures that professional theatre remains accessible to everyone in our community — with ticket prices that families can afford, and often free opportunities that open the door for those who might never otherwise experience live performance.

Even with sold-out performances, ticket sales alone will never cover the cost of producing theatre at this level. It’s your investment that bridges the gap — making it possible to bring world-class productions to Little Rock.

We’ve taken bold steps to be careful stewards of every dollar, trimming more than $1.5 million in expenses while holding true to our values. But the future of The Rep depends on champions like you, willing to step in now to secure a stronger, more sustainable path forward.

Theatres throughout the country have felt the lasting effects of the pandemic — fewer ticket sales, fewer contributions, and mounting challenges that threaten the very fabric of live performance. In Central Arkansas, these realities are even sharper given our size, limited public funding, and local economy.

This is where you come in. Your leadership can ensure that The Rep not only weathers this “new normal” but thrives in it. Our community has already stepped up for other cultural institutions — and now, your vision can do the same for The Rep.

As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2026, you have the opportunity to help secure the next 50 years of professional theatre in Little Rock. Through the 50Fund, you can stabilize our foundation today while fueling capital improvements that will inspire audiences, artists, and the community for decades to come.

The future of The Rep — bold, relevant, and enduring — is in your hands.
