COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

THE ARKANSAS REPERTORY THEATRE CREATES A BRIGHTER FUTURE THROUGH COMMUNITY-DRIVEN PROGRAMS.

Where Arkansans can explore their creative voice.

The Rep plays a key role in community programs and arts education in Central Arkansas. From student matinees and community block parties to Arkansas Artist Workshops and training intensives – Our programs seek to amplify Arkansas voices and give space for the creative community to grow (and thrive).

STUDENT MATINESS

MORE THAN A FIELD TRIP

The Rep’s Student Matinee Program allows school children from across the state to see performances each season for as little as $8 a seat. From Mary Poppins to Macbeth, the opportunity to experience live theatre enhances students’ literary knowledge, empathy for others, and critical thinking skills. Each show is accompanied by a study guide fulfilling Arkansas Curriculum Framework Standards, and talkbacks with the cast are available after each performance.

WORKSHOPS

SHOWCASING ARTISTS AND THEIR CRAFT

The Rep proudly hosts a series of Visiting Artist Workshops throughout the year that creates a space for guest and local artists to share their expertise with our community. These workshops often cover topics from performance and technique to advocacy and leadership.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Programs – large or small – do not fund themselves. We need your ongoing support to ensure community programs and student matinees remain accessible to our community.
