PROUD!

Celebrating African-American Artistry Through the Years

Connecting the past, present, and future of our community and its members.

PROUD! celebrates African American history through the years, showcasing the experience and contributions of African Americans through an historical journey performance.

Building on the success of our 2024 debut, The Rep will develop a new performance iteration of PROUD! for February 2025, for students, as well as the general public.

The Rep desires to serve as a location to connect the past, present, and future of our community and its members. We want to create works that are representative of the wide scope of neighborhoods, wards, and counties that comprise the Central Arkansas area.

The inaugural premiere of PROUD, in February 2024, featured the creative works of Little Rock natives Celeste Jennings and Maya Ellington.
